My cheesy card to Philip, Happy V-Day!
Usually in the past, Valentine's Day was way too hyped up and over-thought that it ended up becoming a miserable day for the both of us. This year was different. I didn't worry about having the perfect dinner reservation or finding the ideal gift. I didn't even think of what may be given to me. I went about my day like normal and at the very last minute was able to snag a last minute reservation at one of our new favorite restaurants The Pass and Provision. They had recently changed the menu and I wanted to try a few new things.
We started out with Cresta de Gallo pasta, which had always been on the previous menu but I never got to try it. If you know me, you know that I am tolerant of only certain types of mild cheese. The Parmesan sauce was not overbearing and I loved every bite of this!
The last time we had dinner at Provisions Philip fell in LOVE with the suckling pig. Of course this was one of the only reasons why he wanted to come to dinner (aside from the apple tart, which is sadly no longer availiable). Our waiter made certain we received the biggest chicharonne piece. Let me tell you, cracking apart that thing was like popping a firework each time. The people across the room heard us. It was a party I tell you!
Half of it was bigger than my face!
No apple tart, but we were super excited to try the new desserts. We had the Neopolitan , which consisted of a moist chocolate mousse cake, adorable little pink Strawberry dippin dots, and a caramel creme. SO good. I was also dying to try cilantro icecream, but wasn't in the mood or had the stomach capacity to eat the upside down pineapple cake. I asked our waiter and he gladly allowed us to order a tasting of the icecream. Who knew cilantro icecream paired with toasted coconut shreds could be so refreshing and delicious?
The Neopolitan up close....layers of amazing flavors!
Us! You cannot tell how stuffed we were :)
What a beautiful night. No stresses nor worries. Our waiter was fantastic and the atmosphere of the restaurant was bustling. Afterwards, even though we were stuffed to the nines, we decided to stop by Spec's to pick up spicy coppa and some beer for later. Had to get a few photos of my V-day outfit as well on here!
I wore an Isabel Marant jacket, Rick Owens black silk tank, R13 leather pants, Celine white pumps, and Balenciaga bag.
Leather goodness.
I need more pointy pumps in my life.
This Sunday I will be heading out to New Orleans again with Philip. Hopefully, it won't rain so hard this time around so I can take photos of the city! Time to get packing again. It was only Monday that I unpacked and did 3 loads of laundry. Sigh.

Wow! That seems like the perfect V-day... I had some issues with mine, where our reservation for two became a table for 10!
